Taylor-Swift
Taylor Swift, full Taylor Alison Swift. American singer/songwriter who has achieved great popularity with her stories she tells of her young heartbreak. Swift showed an interest in the arts at a very young age, and quickly moved through roles in the children's theater and her first public appearance in front of an audience of tens of thousands. Swift began to compose songs in the teen years. Swift sang The Star-Spangled Banner for a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game. Swift wrote original songs inspired by the country music of musicians like Shania Twain (now known as the Chicks) as well as Dixie Chicks. Her material was a reflection of Swift's experiences as a tween being apathetic. Swift was only thirteen when her parents made the decision to sell their Pennsylvania farm and relocate to Hendersonville Tennessee. She could then devote all of her time to reaching out to label labels from the country scene in Nashville.
